Sex is Currency

What we spoke about in class on monday got me thinking about the role that sex plays in not just advertising but in the entire business world. It reminded me of this song "Easier than love" by Switchfoot. The lyrics go something like this...

"Sex is currency
She sells cars,
She sells magazines
Addictive bittersweet, clap your hands,
with the hopeless nicotines

...
Sex is industry,
The CEO, of corporate policy
Skin-deep ministry,
Suburban youth, hail your so-called liberty

Every advertising antic,

Well that's some of the lyrics from the song... and as comical as it may seem, there is a certain amount of truth to it. Sex and money are amongst the greatest temptations to almost any man out there. And although it sounds irrational, most men will check out a sexy ad, even if they have no clue what its about.
